THE SINNER’S LIFE

How many times you said
“you’ll never see me act this way”
How many times you said
“for no reason I’ll scrub this floor”
How many lies are we supposed to hear
And all this in spite of your fears

How many times you said
“Can’t keep this secret no more”
And instead of breaking down
You go and act like a clown
Little fish caught in the net
Ain’t so easy to forget
Everytime you start to cry
You’re the one who wonders “why”?

Won’t somebody answer me
How come man is so weak?
Won’t somebody answer me
Every time that you bleed and you get down on your knees
Shouldn’t you’ve learned the lesson?
But instead you want more
(guess the time is right to) scrub that floor

How many times you said
Oh, I’m good, I’m good, I’m good
And you’re feeling sick in the head
And  no one understood
Little fish caught in the net
Ain’t so easy to forget
Everytime you start to cry
You’re the one who wonders “why”?

Won’t somebody answer me
How come man is so weak?
Won’t somebody answer me
Every time that I bleed and I get down on my knees
Shouldn’t I’ve learned the lesson?
But instead I want more
(guess the time is right to) scrub your floor
